Give up your favourite ‘treat’ until the big day. Having your favourite food to look forward to makes you enjoy it that much more. I love my chocolate, but make a point to avoid eating it in the weeks before Christmas. Come Christmas Eve (movie night with our son) and Christmas day, I am ready to enjoy my treat/s. Whatever your weakness is, try giving it up during the month of December so that you won’t feel guilty about having it during the celebration (in moderation, of course)!
What to do: Perform 20 reps of each exercise. Once you have completed the circuit, rest for 1-2 minutes and repeat 2-3 times.
The Workout: As many rounds as you can in 25 minutes (take breaks when needed):
- Abdominal Crunch (with knees up)
- Box Jumps
- Russian Twist
- Jump Rope with High Knees
- Reverse Crunch
- Mountain Climbers
- Flutter Kicks
- Plank Hold (as long as possible)
Don’t forget to warm up and cool down before and after exercising to help avoid injury.
A great place to keep all of your essential gym gear so you’re always ready for that next workout. A must for all gym goers.
