If you are hosting or going to a Christmas party then why not try making a healthy version of your favourite meal? There are dozens of delicious recipes that taste just as good (if not better) than the full fat and sugary versions. Try swapping white flour for wholemeal, oil for apple sauce, chocolate chips for cocao nibs or sugar for stevia. By swapping out a few ingredients here and there you can save between 500-1000 calories for an entire meal depending on the serving and the portion sizes. If you are stuck for ideas, I highly recommend having a look on Pinterest.
What to do: Perform 15-20 reps of each exercise. Once you have completed the circuit, rest for 1-2 minutes and repeat 2-3 times.
The Workout: As many rounds as you can in 30 minutes (take breaks when needed):
Squat with Overhead Press
Lunge with Hammer Curl
Push up to Dumbbell Row
Single Leg Deadlifts
Stability Ball Hip Thrusts
Always remember to warm up and cool down before and after exercise to help avoid injury.
These bags are awesome for those of you who like to have your meals on hand with you when you are out and about or away from home. I purchased one a few months ago and I love it. The bags can either hold 3 or 6 meals depending on your preferences. Up until now Six Pack Bags were the main supplier of these meal management bags, but I have since found out that FitMark also makes them.
