I am a big fan of southern style chicken seasoning but lets be honest, it isn’t the healthiest seasoning around. Most, if not all packaged southern style seasonings are loaded with sugar, preservatives and artificial sweeteners. After trialing a few different seasonings, I found this mix to taste the best and better yet, its paleo! If you are a paleo fan you will love this crumbed paleo chicken recipe.
1lb chicken breasts
2 eggs, whisked
1-2 cups almond meal
1 teaspoon Oregano, dried
1 teaspoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Sage, dried
1 teaspoon Basil, dried
1 teaspoon Black Pepper, ground
2 teaspoons Sea Salt
2 tablespoons Paprika
1 tablespoon Onion Salt
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
2 tsp Steak Seasoning (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 180c (350f). Chop chicken into strips.
2. Combine almond meal and herbs in one bowl, and eggs in another.
3. Dip chicken strips into egg and then into crumb mixture and lay on a baking tray. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
4. Cook for 20 minutes or until cooked. Serve with vegetables or salad.
