These bars are cheap, easy to make, taste great and are an ideal snack for those of you short on time. Just grab one, put it in a ziplock bag and throw it in your purse. You always want to have something healthy on hand when you are out and about to avoid reaching for something unhealthy when hunger strikes.
Ingredients
2 cups traditional oats
3 scoops of protein powder (I used 1 1/2 scoops of both Optimum Nutrition 100% natural casein and whey)
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
2 tbsp Bell Plantation PB2 (if you don’t have PB2 then just use another tablespoon of peanut butter)
1/2 cup of milk or milk substitute
Method:
1. Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix to combine.
2. Press the mixture firmly into a small non stick pan.
3. Cover and place in the fridge until set.
4. Once set, cut into 6 pieces.
